Kathmandu, Nepal, October 14, 2020: Nepal has been re-elected as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).  

In the elections held at UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday, Nepal was elected for the second time as the UNHRC member.
 
In the secret ballot in a plenary meeting of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, Nepal was elected garnering 150 votes.  

In the election held on 2018, Nepal was elected for the first time. The ongoing term will remain till 2023.
 
In addition of Nepal, China, Pakistan and Uzbekistan have also been elected from the Asia Pacific region.
