Kathmandu Nepal: Following the directives of the Supreme Court (SC), the Apex Court of Nepal, the Nepal Police has on filed a document forgery case against former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Nepal Police and newly elected parliament member of CPN-UML, at Kathmandu District court on Wednesday.
 
As of the accusations labeled against Silwal, the Nepal Police has also accused Silwal of manipulating his internal evaluation performance evaluation form while he was a DIG contending for the top post. 
 
The SC had categorically ordered for a full investigation over the issue of document forgery case against former DIG Silwal. 
 
Even though the police filed the case, he has not been taken into judicial remand. Nepal Police deserves the right to take into control to make stronger the investigations, but it is stated that he would not be taken into control as investigations are going on over the issue of forgery ceases.
 
As Silwal is the elected representative from the Lalitpur -2 for the federal parliament, different forms of opinions are surfaced in the market over the issue of the case against Silwal.
 
It is said that the case was filed after taking consent form the attorney General Basanta Ram Bhandari. It is said that Bhandari has given nod to initiate action against newly elected lawmaker Nawaraj Silwal in line with the Supreme Court’s recent verdict.
