SINDHULI, May 6: A man died and six others were injured when lightning struck them at different places in the district on Friday and Saturday.
Lightning stroke Suntali Thapa Magar of Sunkoshi rural municipality-5 on Saturday noon while she was at her home, police confirmed. Thapa Magar died on the spot.
Injured Pramila Thapa Magar and Aaditya Maya Tamang are receiving treatment at local health facility.
Likewise, four persons--Mina Sunuwar, Bhumika Sunuwar, Bhairab Sunuwar and Jitmaya Sunuwar--were injured when lightning struck them at Phikal rural municipality-1.
