Guwahati, Aug 25 : Police had arrested a drug peddler with drugs in Assam's Chirang district on Saturday evening.
Based on some secret information the Chirang district police had launched operation at Dhaligaon area and arrested a drug peddler named Shah Dil Mohammed Khan.
Police had seized 27 grams of brown sugar along with multiple credit debit cards, cheque books of multiple banks and some documents from the drug peddler's vehicle.
With his arrest the consignment of drugs in Lower Assam will be slowed down and young youths will be saved.
The Chirang district police had registered a case against Shah Dil Mohammed Khan.
"We had received an information about a drug peddler and immediately launched operation at Dhaligaon area. We had arrested the drug peddler and seized 27 grams of brown sugar from his vehicle during checking.," a police officer said.
