Guwahati : Queer politics visible in Manipur after Independent candidate of Jiribam Asab Uddin has been reportedly detained by CISF and flown him to an unknown location.
Manipur Congress alleged that, BJP has used muscle power to form next ministry in the state anyhow.
"To collect majority number, BJP hijacked the lone Independent candidate by using CISF," a top leader of Manipur Congress said.
In the 60-member Manipur assembly, the Congress has again emerged as the leading political party with 28 seats, while the saffron party had captured 21 seats and the both party are now trying to manage the magic number with the help of smaller parties.
Apart from Congress and BJP, NPP and NPF had secured 4 seats each, while LJP, AITMC and Independent won one seat each.
The NPF, who is also an ally party in NDA, has already announced support for a non-Congress coalition government.
On the other hand, NPP leader Conard Sangma said that, his party will support to form a non-Congress government.
On the other hand, three times Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh on Sunday elected as the Congress legislature party (CLP) leader.
During the CLP meeting, the elected Congress legislators had again elected Ibobi as the CLP leader.
On the other hand, Assam Finance minister and convenor of North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) Himanta Biswa Sarma said that, we need 31 seats to stake claim.
"By tomorrow morning we should be able to give you the numbers," Himanta said.
