Kathmandu, Nepal, January 1, 2019: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli held a telephonic conversation with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on Wednesday morning.
Prime Minister Oli has revealed about the telephonic conversation with his Indian counterpart Modi via his personal twitter account.
Though this is the first conversation between Prime Minister Oli and his Indian counterpart Modi after India released a new political map placing Nepali territory- Kalapani inside Indian borders, the duo did not discussed over the issue.
‘I had telephone conversation with Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modiji and exchanged New Year’s greetings and best wishes,’ Prime Minister Oli has twitted adding ‘we shared that the year 2019 proved to be successful in elevating bilateral ties to new height.’
According to the Prime Minister Oli, he also invited Modi to visit Nepal.
The conversation is held between the Prime Ministers of Nepal and India in the mean time when the government has faced widespread criticism for not taking proper initiation about the new political map released by the India placing Nepali territory- Kalapani inside Indian borders
