Kathmandu, Nepal, September 9, 2020: Prohibitory order imposed in Kathmandu valley in the pretext of containing the spread of coronaviru (COVID-19) since three weeks has been eased.

A meeting of the Chief District Officers (CDOs) of three districts in Kathmandu Valley- Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur- on Wednesday decided to ease the prohibitory order even though infection rate is being reported at the same pace.

As per the decision taken from the meeting, vehicles including the public buses will be allowed to operate on an odd-even basis starting Thursday.

The vehicles with the even registration number can operate on an even date while those with an odd registration number can operate on odd dates.

However, strict measures will be adopted in the entry points in Kathmandu valley with the motive to restrict the reckless movement of people.
