Kathmandu, Nepal, Aug 14, 2019: Secretariat meeting of the ruling head Nepal Communist Party (NCP) that was slated earlier for Wednesday afternoon has been postponed yet again for an indefinite timeframe.
According to a source close to the party, the meeting was postponed due to the differences among the top leaders over the appointment of departments’ head particularly naming the chief of the School Department.
As top leaders of the ruling head NCP have been competing themselves to appoint their loyalist, the long being derailed consensus attempts would not materialize near time soon.
Earlier on Wednesday, party’s co-chairs duo KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal held a meeting with the aim to reach on the consensus over the name of department heads but failed to reach on consensus, thanks to their respective stands.
