Guwahati:  As a part of Assam government’s multi-pronged approach to negotiate with the Covid-19 pandemic, State chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal dialed several eminent personalities and took stock of their well-beings. During the telephonic discussions with senior academicians, sports organizers, social activists, journalists etc, Sonowal apprised them of the government’s ploy to beat the viral infection of novel corona virus.
 
Besides protecting and saving precious lives from the infection, Sonowal informed them about the  government’s effort to create a robust infrastructure of healthcare facilities to reach out to the people who are falling prey to the deadly virus.  He also added that the government was working assiduously to strengthen the economy which has been badly hit by the pandemic.
 
Sonowal, dialing to former   B Borooah   College vice-principal Dr Jagadindra Roy Chowdhury, former Pandu College professor Bhabani Prasad Upadhaya, former Parliamentarian Dr Arun Sharma, former Guwahati Press Club secretary Nava Thakuria, senior journalist Rupam Baruah, former North Korea ambassador Binanda Kumar Gogoi, veteran businessman   Krishna Kumar Goenka,  sports  organizer  Manoj Mohanty,  social  activists  Gauranga   Roy,  Dilip  Basu  and Swapnanil Madhukar, expected their initiatives for  transferring enthusiasm   and positivity to different sections in the society.
