Rajbiraj, Saptari: Normal life of the district badly affected due to the general strike called by the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) in and around the district from early morning on Tuesday.
Marketplaces of all parts of the districts particularly at the Rajbira have been shut down.
Vehicular movement of the district has also been halted causing effects even in the east west highway. Industries and educational institutes have also been closed.
UDMF cadres have been staging protests at various parts of the districts. Likewise, the effects of general strike are also seen other adjourning districts as well.
The UDMF had called an indefinite strike in Saptari after its four cadres were killed in the police firing followed by clash on Monday.
