Guwahati, August 24 : A woman was died in a massive landslide that took place near Jorabat area, outskirts of Guwahati due to the heavy thundershower inundating many parts of the capital city of Assam.
According to the reports, the deceased woman identified as 70-year-old Indira Devi was died on spot after her house collapsed in the landslide.
Meanwhile, massive water logging in many parts of Guwahati paralyzes normal life in the city on Friday.
Many roads and by lanes in the city have been submerged in waters following heavy downpour lashed for nearly an hour and leading to the artificial floods in Guwahati-Shillong road also.
The water logging led to massive traffic jam across the city with vehicular movement coming to halt in many parts of the city.
