Constitution will not be amended at any cost to make neighbouring country happy: CPN UML chairman Oli

 

BHAKTAPUR, Sept 19: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has tried to weaken the country's international affairs. 

 

Chairman Oli said so at a programme organised by Regional Committee of Bhaktapur Constituency No 2 of the Youth Association Nepal at Thimi on Monday on the occasion of the Constitution Day. 

 

Stating that constitution would not be amended at any cost to make neighbouring country happy, he raised a point about the fate of the work schedule that the erstwhile government had prepared for constitution implementation. 

 

Chairman Oli said, "It is wrong to say that the new constitution promulgated through the support of 92 per cent people's representatives was unacceptable. The new constitution will not be amended at the interest of neighbours." 

 

He suggested the Nepali Congress to protect the country rather than involving in spoiling the country in the name of BP, blaming the NC for not following its principle and ideology. 

 

Former Minister and CPN (UML) politburo member Agni Prasad Kharel, former Industry Minister Mahesh Basnet, central chairman of the Youth Association Nepal, Rajeev Pahari, among others warned of launching agitation if conspiracies were hatched not to allow constitution implementation. RSS
