Kathmandu, Nepal, May 10, 2023: Responding to the police investigation on Bhutanese refugee scam, CPN-UML has on Thursday suspended its Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi.
Police have issued warrant after Rayamajhi, who is also the former Deputy Prime Minister, found involved in the alleged fake Bhutanese refugees scam.
Issuing a press statement, UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has informed that Rayamajhi has been suspended until the investigation and legal action against him is concluded.
Rayamajhi is absconding after police issued an arrest warrant against Rayamajhi. Police have already arrested his son Sandeep.
