You may recall that my final assignment in the US Air Force in the early 1990s was at Offutt AFB, where I served with Strategic Air Command, the headquarters for all US nuclear forces. Even then, at least one senior leader acknowledged that the doctrine of Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) was an irrational way to defend a nation.
During that period, I was completing my Ph.D. on Invincible Defense Technology (IDT). At social events, I often spoke with senior SAC leaders about how nuclear weapons had become obsolete in light of IDT. This brain‑based approach to defense is understood to operate at the level of the unified field of all the laws of nature. Modern physics describes the unified field as one thousand million million times (10¹⁵) more powerful than the nuclear force. A nation that functions from that level possesses a system of defense that surpasses the chemical force, the electromagnetic force, and the nuclear force.
Unfortunately, the leadership at that time was not ready to consider this possibility. Today, however, significant changes are underway. India is now moving rapidly toward becoming fully operational with IDT.
This article, which I coauthored with a two‑star general and a physicist, discusses this important development. https://thenorthlines.com/india-must-not-leave-security-only-to-children-when-indias-military-could-be-deploying-idt/
As noted in the earlier article, "Pakistan's defense and academic communities are aware of the emerging IDT developments in India as well as in other countries." The article recently published here https://thinktank.pk/2026/04/30/pakistans-quiet-proposal-that-could-reshape-middle-east-security/ in Pakistan (as well as in The Lahore Times) further supports this point.
It should also be noted that there is reason for optimism regarding Israel. The same article was published in The Times of Israel, which shows that the topic is receiving attention there as well.
