Kathmandu, Nepal — October 15, 2025: Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal is currently in Washington, D.C., attending the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). As part of his official engagements, Minister Khanal held separate meetings with senior officials from both institutions on Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Minister Khanal met with Anna Bjerde, Managing Director of the World Bank Group, and Bo Li, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF. The discussions focused on Nepal’s development priorities and ongoing collaboration with the two multilateral agencies.
During the meetings, Minister Khanal underscored the Government of Nepal’s commitment to promoting good governance, enhancing accountability, and ensuring timely elections. He also expressed appreciation for the continued support from development partners and emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation in advancing Nepal’s economic growth and stability.
The meetings are part of a broader effort to strengthen Nepal’s engagement with international development partners and mobilize support for key national initiatives.
