Kathmandu, Nepal, May 29, 2022: The government has announced the budget for the fiscal year 2022/23 amid a joint meeting of the federal parliamentary at parliamentary building on Sunday.
Finance Minister Janardan Sharma presented a total budget of Rs 1.793 trillion, which is 8.86 percent more than the budget for the current fiscal year.
In the budget the government has made a estimate that Nepal’s economy would expand by 5.8 percent in the current financial year, which is used to end at the ending mid-July.
Out of the total budget presented for the fiscal year 2022/23, the government has allocated Rs 753.40 billion (42 percent) for recurrent expenditure.
