NEPSE Declines By 0.63 Percent To Close At 2,165.10 Points

Kathmandu, Nepal, January 23, 2023: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has declined by 0.63 percent or 13.71 points to close at 2,165.10 points in the first trading day of the week on Monday. 

The NEPSE index opened at 2,184.77 points made an intraday high of 2,203.13 points while made an intraday low as 2,162.83 points before closing at 2,165.10 points.

A total of 10,759,579 shares amounting to Rs. 3.864 Arba in turnover amount were exchanged in the four hours long trading hours on Monday. 
 
Shares of the Kumari Bank Ltd. (KBL) traded the most making the highest turnover of Rs. 27.4 crores with the market price as Rs. 208.50 per share.

On the other hand, Himalayan Hydropower Limited (HHL) lost the highest by 7.79 percent.

Of the total 13 sector indices, two sector indices closed green while remaining 11 sector indices closed red. 

The Banking sector indices gained the highest by 1.08 percent while the Hydropower sector indices lost the highest by 2.42 percent.

Meanwhile, Super Madi Hydropower Limited has issued 17,43,000 unit shares of Rs 100 face value as Initial Public Offering to the general public from Monday. As per the notice, the early closing date is fixed for coming Wednesday.
