Kathmandu, Nepal: Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara is going to leave for Islamabad of Pakistan on Tuesday.
Though he is leaving for Pakistan to attend a SAARC Finance Ministerial meeting to be held on August 25 and 26, it is said that he is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with senior government officials of Pakistan including his counterpart during his three day long stay in Islamabad.
It is said that Mahara is scheduled to return home on Saturday. The visit of Mahara, who is also the senior leader of the CPN Maoist Center, is taken meaningfully. He had just returned from northern neighbor China.
As Nepal is the incumbent chair of the SAARC, Mahara is scheduled to address the ministerial meeting on Friday where in Finance ministers of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are taking part.
