Kathmandu, Nepal: Bollywood Film’s icon superstar Sridevi Kapoor has been cremated with the state honours at the Seva Samaj Crematorium in Vile Parle in Mumbai Thursday evening.
Daughters Janhvi and Khushi light the pyre to bid final goodbye at around 5:30 pm today. Her husband, Boney Kapoor also attends while lighting the funeral pyre.
Thousands of people including the Bollywood films superstars gathered in Mumbai to pay final respects to Sridevi.
Her body was flown back to India late Tuesday in a private plane owned by Anil Ambani, a powerful Mumbai industrialist.
She had died in Dubai over the weekend at age 54. There are controversial reports about the death of Sridevi. Earlier it was reported that she had died due to the heart attack.
However, Dubai police has said latter that She had drowned in her hotel bathtub after losing consciousness.
