Guwahati: An Eye Institute and Surgery Centre will organize a screening camp for scribes at Guwahati Press Club (GPC) on 7 July 2018. The Saturday camp will start at 10 am and continue till 3 pm, where the member-journalists of the press club will have the opportunity for eye check-ups along with necessary consultations.
Senior eye surgeon Dr Bindu Singha Goel from the city based institution will lead a group of ophthalmologists in the camp.
The last weekly OPD clinic at the press club camp on 30 June was conducted by Swagat Hospital for the benefit of its member-journalists along with their families. Gracing the health camp, physicians Dr Bapan Devnath and Dr Sibashish Saha offered free consultations to the participants. Besides consultations, the participants also got their ear-nose-throat, blood sugar & pressure checked in the camp.
Till date, the GPC healthcare clinic has been supported by Down Town Hospitals, GNRC Hospitals, Apollo Hospitals, SIMS Hospital, Medanta Hospital, Manipal Hospital, Fortis Hospital, Dispur Hospital, GATE Hospital, Ayursundra Hospital, Excelcare Hospital, Health City Hospital, Narayana Hospitals, Barthakur Clinic, Sun Valley Hospital, Rahman Hospital etc.
