Kathmandu, Nepal, May 11, 2021: the government has extended the ongoing prohibitory orders in the Kathmandu Valley have by two more weeks. With this, the orders will remain in place until May 27.
A meeting of the chief district officers (CDOs) of the three districts of the Valley - Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur held on Tuesday decided to this effect.
Owning the spiking cases of cornavirus infection, the restriction order was enforced on April 29 for a week and extended by one more week latter.
It is said that the meeting has also decided to tighten the movement of people to contain the spreading threat of virus.
