Kathmandu, Nepal, March 29, 2020: The Chinese government has provided medical aid to the Nepal government to combat the spreading novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Hou Yanqi, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, handed over the medical aid to the Minister for Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal amid a function organized at the Ministry of Health and population on Sunday.
The medical aid includes portable ventilators, thermometers, personal protective equipment and surgical masks.The medical aid provided by the different Chinese agencies was brought in Nepal through a Nepal Airlines on Saturday.
According to the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, Sichuan Province and Alibaba Foundation, Jack Ma Foundation, China CAMC Engineering Company Ltd, and Sichuan Huashi Group Company Ltd jointly donated the medical aid.
