Kathmandu, Nepal, January 7, 2021: Coronavirus infection tally of the country has advanced to 263,605 after 412 new cases reported in the past 24 hours.
Of the total newly infected cases, 182 are females while 230 are males. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, of the total newly infected cases from across the country, 251 cases surfaced in Kathmandu valley alone.
Likewise, 483 people, who were earlier infected with the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the addition, total recovery tally of the country has advanced to 256,644, which is equivalent to 97.4 per cent.
Meanwhile, death toll due to the infection of coronavirus advanced to 1,903 after four more fatalities related to the virus recorded in the past 24 hours.
There are currently 5,058active cases across the country. Of them, only 342 individuals are staying in various quarantine facilities.
