Kathmandu, Nepal, September 9, 2020: Nepal’s coronavirus (COVID-19) infection tally reached to 49,219 after 1,081 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. Of the newly recorded infection case, 464 were from Kathmandu valley alone.
Dr. Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said during a press briefing on Wednesday that 1,081 new cases of COVID-19 were detected while carrying out 11,167 PCR tests at various labs across the country in the past 24 hours.
According to him, 918 persons, who were earlier tested positive for the virus, have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours. With the new addition, total recovery of coronavirus stand at 33,882.
