Janakpur, Nepal: the market places at Janakpur remained tense on Tuesday after the cadres of the Rastriya Janta Party-Nepal (RJP-N) tried to attempt to foil the elections campaign organized by the CPN UML.
As the demonstrators chanted slogans against former Prime Minister and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal with intent to prevent him to attend in the function, minor clash was ensued between the police and the RJPN cadres.
The RJPN has claimed that about half a dozen cadres have been injured during the clash with the police. Police had intervened to remove the obstruction in the main entrance of the venue.
The youth wing of the UML had organized the program at Shantibatika of Biradi Chowk as part of election campaign.
