Kathmandu, Nepal, September 14, 2023: last rites of late Subas Nemwang, the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly and vice chairman of the main opposition party, CPN-UML, is being held with state honors today.

The last rites of late Nemwang, who died last Monday night, is going to be held today after three days because of waiting for his sons to come from abroad. Both the sons of the late Nemwang, who are abroad, have come to Nepal on Wednesday.

The body of the late Nemwang was kept at the UML party office for two days and taken to his residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday.

According to UML sources, last rites of late Nemwang will be performed as per Hindu and Mundhum tradition.

The funeral procession is scheduled to reach Pashupati Aryaghat via Baluwatar, Teaching Hospital, Maharajganj, Dhumbarahi, Chabhil, Gaushala.

The government has granted mourning leave today.
