Kathmandu, Nepal: The CPN-UML, the main opposition party in the parliament, has organized a motorcycle rally in the Kathmandu on Thursday as a part of show of strength prior to the mass demonstration.
The opposition parties in the parliament including the main opposition UML has organized the mass demonstration in Kathmandu on Friday to protest the constitution amendment bill registered in the parliament.
Though the political parties including the oppositions have agreed to amend the constitution by removing the provision of provincial boundaries as per the demands of the opposition parties, the mass demonstration is being organized on the name of protesting the bill.
Traffic movement in Kathamndu was adversely affected due to the motorcycle rally. The UML has a claim that over 10,000 protesters have participated in the rally.
The rally started from Bhirkuti Mandap was ended at Ratna Park after going through Tripureshwor, Thapathali, Jawalakhel, Satdobato, Koteshwor, Sinamangal,
Battisputali and Dillibazaar.
