Kathmandu, Nepal, August 31, 2021: Torrential rain falls come since three weeks has caused havoc across the country. Floods and landslide claimed at least nine lives in the past three days alone.
According to the records updated by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), ninety seven people have lost their lives while 46 others are still missing after the monsoon started in the country.
Likewise, nearly 800 houses, 25 hydropower projects, 29 motorable bridges and 29 suspension bridges were damaged due to flooding, landslides and inundation caused by heavy rainfall in various districts of the country, the NDRRMA has stated.
