Kathmandu, Nepal, March 19, 2021: Attorney General Agni Kharel has resigned from the post on Friday, claims a source at the office of the Prime Minister’s official resident, Baluwatar.
It is said that Kharel has resigned from the post after Prime Minister Oli had already expressed dissatisfaction from his performances, particularly over the issue of House dissolution.
As the Supreme Court had overturned the government’s decision to dissolve the parliament, Prime Minister Oli had expressed his dissatisfaction for his alleged failure to defend the government’s move.
Kharel’s resignation is taken importantly as it has come at the time when the ruling head CPN UML has reached at the verge to vertical split.
