Kathmandu, Nepal, November 23, 2021: Ek Nath Dhakal has been reelected as Chairperson of the Nepal Pariwar Dal (Nepal Family Party). The third National General Convention of the party has reelected him for the next five years term.
The General Convention of the party held in Kathmandu on Sunday with the theme of ‘Let us eliminate all sorts of discriminations: build a cultured, prosperous and inclusive Nepal’ has also elected a 101-member central executive committee including 11 office bearer members under the Chairmanship of Dhakal.
The new leadership comprises a senior vice-chair, a vice-chair, two general secretaries, five co-general secretaries, a treasurer and a joint treasurer. Binod Dangi has been elected as senior vice chair while Ganesh Kumar Shrestha has been elected as vice chair.
Similarly, Santosh Kumar Poudel and Prakash Babu Thapa have been elected as general secretaries, Milan Kumari Rajbanshi, Rup Singh Bhandari, Manoj Kumar Surkheti, Abdul Kaiyum Shah and Ashok Kumar Chaudhary have been elected as co-general secretarie, Govinda Nath Mishra has been elected as treasurer) and Buddhimaya Pun Magar has been elected as joint-treasurer.
The General convention of the party has endorsed the political report that comprises the provision of directly elected executive chief and fully proportional electoral system in the country.
