Kathmandu, Nepal, February 8, 2022: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has been appointed to the post of the party’s spokesperson. Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba appointed him on Monday.
While handing over the responsibility of party’s spokesperson to Dr. Mahat, NC president Deuba, who is also the Prime Minister, expressed his hope that he would contribute to further strengthening the party organization.
In the recently concluded 14th General Convention of the party, Dr Mahat had lost the elections for the post of General Secretary. Earlier, he was appointed as the Central Committee member of the party. Before the general convention, Dr Mahat was the Joint-General Secretary of the party.
