Nepal reports highest single-day coronavirus positive cases on Monday, total tally spikes to 1811 with 239 new cases

Kathmandu, Nepal, June 01, 2020: Nepal has reported highest single-day coronavirus (COVID-19) positive cases on Monday. The Ministry of Health and Population spokesperson revealed so while updating coronavirus situations of the country on Monday afternoon.

With the 239 new cases, Nepal's coronavirus tally soared to 1811. Among the newly infected cases, 226 are males while 13 females including a minor. As of Monday, the transmission of COVID-19 has been witnessed in 59 districts out of 77 districts across the nation. Likewise, out of total infected cases, 1,667 are males while 131 females.

Among them, 41 people are from Dailekh district, 8 from Kapilvastu district, 38 from Sarlahi district, 19 from Jumla district, 18 from Rautahat district, 14 from Kailali district, 10 from Salyan district, nine from Dang district, seven each from Banke and Dhanusha districts, five each from Siraha and Surkhet districts, four from Nawalparasi district, two each from Jhapa, Palpa and Mahottari districts and one each from Gulmi, Accham, Baitadi, Doti, Kanchanpur, Makawanpur, and Udayapur districts.
