Kathmandu, Nepal, September 10, 2025: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed his serious concerns over the recent political development of the country followed by the violent protests.
Taking to social media about the latest situation in Nepal United Nations Secretary-General Guterres has said that he is monitoring the situation in Nepal.
Expressed his condolences over the humanitarian loss, United Nations Secretary-General Guterres has called for restraint and dialogue to prevent further escalation of violence. Calling for compliance with human rights law, Guterres said protests should be peaceful, with protection of life and property.
“I’m closely following the situation in Nepal & I’m deeply saddened by the loss of life, I urge a thorough investigation, restraint to avoid further escalation of violence & dialogue towards forging a constructive path forward,” Nepal United Nations Secretary-General Guterres has said in the message.
