Kathmandu, Nepal March 6, 2020: The main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) has registered a motion of urgent public importance demanding for a broader national solidarity to take initiations to prevent the spreading outbreak of coronavirus.
Lawmaker and central committee member of the NC Gagan Kumar Thapa tabled the urgent public importance motion at the House of Representatives (HoR) on behalf of the party on Friday,
In the motion, the NC has urged the government and concerned stake holders to launch an integrated program and formulate an action plan to prevent the spread of viral outbreak of coronavirus, which is lately named as COVID-19.
Reminding the fact that the World Health Organization (WHO) has already enlisted Nepal in the highly vulnerable countries to COVID-19, Thapa, cautioned the government not to show apathy to set up the heath check facilities in the border points.
Even though we don't have anything to worry about till date, we should be well-prepared to face the worst situation, Thapa has stated in the motion.
The lawmakers not only from the main opposition Nepali Congress but also from the ruling allies also seconded on the motion demanding immediate attention of the government to check the spreading of deadly virus.
