Kathmandu, Nepal, January, 9, 2022: Following the appointment as Chief Minister of Gandaki Province CPN UML leader Khagaraj Adhikari took the oath of office and secrecy amid a function on Monday.
Province head Prithviman Gurung administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chief Minister Adhikari. At the same function, CPN-UML’s Sita Sundas, CPN (Maoist Center)’s Hari Bahadur Chuman and Rastriya Prajatantra Party's Pancharam Gurung took the oath of and secrecy as minister of the province.
Earlier on Monday, Adhikari had staked claim to the post of chief minister with the support of 33 members of the 60-member provincial assembly. He has bagged the support of UML’s 22 members, the Maoist Centre’s eight members and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)’s two members and CPN (Unified Socialist)’s one member.
