Parties intensify consultations

Kathmandu, Nepal, May 9, 2021: Owing to the House meeting called for Monday, political parties have intensified consolations to chalk out the future strategy. 

Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) leaders duo Mahanta Thakur and Rajendra Mahato reached at the resident of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba to discuss over the possible formation of coalition government.

Earlier, the Thakur and Mahato led faction of the JSP had decided to extend support to the incumbent KP Oli led government. However, it is believed now that the faction has changed the mindset realizing to the situation that Oli-led government would not able to garner majority votes even if it extends support.

Likewise, the dissident faction of the ruling UML led by Madhav Kumar Nepal has called its standing committee meeting to take decision about the future course its faction. 

It is said that the meeting would take decision whether to resign from the parliament or to cross the floor to vote against the vote of confidence demanded by the Prime Minister Oli.
