Kathmandu, Nepal, February 20, 2022: Following the declining trend, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has declined by1.14 percent or 23.60 points and closed at 2,046.81 points on Monday.
The NEPSE index had lost by 21.15 points on last Thursday, the last trading day of the previous week.
The NEPSE index opened at 2,069.67 points on Monday made an intraday high of 2,069.78 points while low as 2,040.18 points before ultimately closing at 2,046.81 points.
A total of 6,091,353 shares of 258 scrips traded hands were exchanged amounting to Rs. 1.947 Arba in turnover amount via 38,415 transactions. Monday’s turnover is slightly higher than the last day trading. In the last Thursday, the turnover amount was Rs. 1.684 Arba.
In the first trading day of the week on Monday, Himalayan Distillery Limited (HDL) made the highest turnover of Rs. 20.82 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 2,390 per share while the shares of NMB50 traded the most.
Similarly, Rapti Hydro And General Construction Limited (RHGCL) gained the highest 10 percent positive circuit while the Jeevan Bikas Laghubitta Bittya Sanstha Ltd (JBLB) lost the highest by 9.15 percent.
Out of the total 13 sector indices, only two sector indices closed green while others remained red. "Mutual Fund" sector indices gained the highest by 0.79 percent while "Manufacturing and processing" sector indices lost the highest by 3.20 percent.
