Kathmandu, Nepal, July 4, 2024: The National Cooperative Bank Limited (NCBL) Chairman KB Upreti has been arrested on charge of embezzling money of cooperative depositors.
Upreti, who is also the chairman of Yamuna Ideal Hamro Multipurpose Cooperative and cooperative department member of the CPN UML, has been accused of embezzling billions of rupees from the cooperative’s depositors.
