Kathmandu, Nepal, March 15, 2022:Responding to the threat from some sister wing f the ruling CPN (Maoist Center), singer Prakash Saput has requested one and all not to politicize his new song ‘Pir’. Singer Saput has made the request though the social media on Monday.

While urging everyone not to politicize the video, he has also stated in the post as ‘I am trying to say through the song that the system has changed on the basis of war but the situation has not changed, and there has been a distance between those warriors who once fought for equality.’

Soon after the release of the song on Friday, some sister wing of the Maoist Center had threatened singer Saput to delete the video. However, some senior leaders of the party including Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have said that the song has nothing wrong so as to delete from the posts. 

As there are so many stories to tell about our society, many songs to be sung and there are many questions to be asked even in the new system that you have brought, Saput has stated in the post even requesting not to label him wrong for singing the song. There is not possible to cover all points of view in one song, he has stated post.
