Kathmandu, Nepal, December 25, 2020: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reshuffled his cabinet.
Following the cabinet reshuffle, a cabinet meeting is going to be convened today at 8:00 pm at Prime Minister Oli’s official resident.
Reliable source close to the Prime Minister Oli claims that Prime Minister Oli appointed five ministers from the erstwhile UCPN (Maoist Center) with the aim to woo the formerly UCPN Maoist Center in his faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).
The newly inducted ministers include Top Bahadur Rayamajhi as Minister for Energy, Prabhu Sah as Minister for Labor and Employment, Mani Thapa as Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Dawa Lama as Minister for Education and Gauri Shanker Chaudhary as Minister for Drinking Water.
It is said that Rayamajhi was appointed as the Minister for Energy with Deputy Prime Ministerial portfolio though it is not revealed yet officially.
