Kathmandu, Nepal, October 22, 2020: Samant Goel, Chief of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW)- the foreign intelligence agency of India has returned to India after having meetings with Nepalese leaders including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The RAW Chief, Goel had come in Kathmandu on Wednesday without specifying reason to have visit to Nepal. His visit to Nepal is taken importantly in the diplomatic and political level.
Prime Minister Oli’s press advisor has confirmed the visit between Prime Minister Oli and RAW chief Goel.
It is said that Goel met with other leaders including ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal. However, their visit is not confirmed officially.
PM Oli’s press advisor Surya Thapa has stated that RAW chief Goel had paid a courtesy call on PM Oli and made a commitment to strengthen bilateral relationship through the means of dialogue.
