Kathmandu, Nepal: The Supreme Court (SC) the apex court of the country, has on Tuesday recommended action against its own staff on charge of negligence of duty and two other government employees of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No 10 for non-cooperation in paste summons to Lok Man Singh Karki, the chief of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.
A single bench of Justice Ishwar Prasad Khatiwada issued an order for imprisonment for 15 days and Rs 1,000 fine against SC’s Tameldar (messenger) Shambhu Bahadur Khatri, Secretary Sarita Rai and Kharidar Bheshraj Aryal at Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)-10.
The verdict of the court has come in the mean time when the SC staffers have become success to paste the summons at CIAA chief Karki’s Baneshowr based resident on Tuesday. Another team of the SC had pasted the summons on Tuesday.
The SC has told to be present before the apex court within seven days to forge clarification over the matter.
The SC had had deputed Khatri to hand over the summons to Karki to be present before the SC about two weeks before but he failed to conduct duty in the pretext of failing to locate the house of Karki.
Not only the SC staffer, but also the ward secretary Rai and Kharidar Acharya were neglecting to paste the summons.
They have faced the apex court music as they reportedly did not show up when the SC messenger had reached the KMC-10 Ward Office seeking consultation and company to locate Karki’s house in Baneshwar of KMC-10.
