Kathmandu, Nepal, December 2, 2020: The Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) that was scheduled for Wednesday has been put off for upcoming Saturday (December 5) after the party co-chair and Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli skipped the meeting.
Though the meeting was lasted at the Prime Minister KP Oli's own Official Residence in Baluwatar, he skipped the meeting.
As co-chairman duo Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Oli have been differing over the political document presented before the secretariat, Oli had on Tuesday hinted that he would not present on Wednesday’s meeting.
With the decision, to differ the secretariat meeting for December 5, the standing committee meeting that was scheduled earlier for December 6, have also been postponed for the indefinite period.
Internal rift of the ruling NCP has reached at climax triggering a fear of vertical split of the party and the dissolution of the incumbent government. The rival factions of the party have been engaging in internal rift in ranges of issues since the formation of incumbent government.
