Guwahati : Police has finally caught the main culprit, who killed a girl and a woman in two passenger trains within 24 hours in upper Assam.
According to the reports, the serial killer identified as Bikash Das, a tea stall owner near Tinsukia railway station has reportedly admitted of committing the crime.
Bikash Das alias Babu, admitted that he killed both the woman.
Police on Thursday caught the accused person based on the CCTV footage of Tinsukia railway station and also the sketch of suspected killer released by the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
The accused person was frequently traveling on the passenger trains in past few days to sell cloths.
On July 10, the RPF personnel had found a semi naked body of a 21-year-old girl in a toilet of the Tinsukia-Rangia passenger train at Simaluguri railway junction in upper Assam’s Sivsagar district and a cloth was tied around her neck and blood was oozing out of her nose.
On July 11, the RPF personnel had found another semi naked body of a 55-year-old woman from a toilet of the Avadh Assam Express at Mariani railway junction.
The woman was also tied a cloth around her neck and blood was oozing out of her nose.
