Kathmandu, Nepal, June 9, 2023: The Supreme Court (SC), the apex court of the country, has on Friday ordered the government’s bodies concerned to submit a copy of the Citizenship Bill that was currently certified by President Ram Chandra Paudel.
The SC justices Prakash Man Singh and Sushma Lata Mathema ordered the government’s bodies concerned to submit a certified copy of the Citizenship Bill that was currently certified by President Paudel to hear the writ petition filed against the Citizenship Bill.
Likewise, the bench has also ordered the government’s bodies concerned to submit a copy of the decision of the cabinet meeting on May 26 that had requested the president to authenticate the bill. The next hearing is scheduled for coming Tuesday.
