Kathmandu, Nepal, June 14, 2021: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the opposition alliance.

A meeting of the three former Prime Ministers held at UML leader Nepal's Koteshwar based residence on Monday evening also decided to expand their partnership from center to local levels.

Opposition parties including the ruling UML’s senior leader Nepal have formed an alliance to challenge government’s decision to dissolve the House and announcement of snap elections scheduled for coming November.

The leaders have been labeling an allegation to the government, particularly the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, for working against the democratic-republican system and the Constitution by influencing the state mechanism.

During the meeting, the leaders also discussed about the possible role of the government to weaken the unity of the alliance and create distrust among each other. It is said that the leaders have also agreed to forge alliance while forming governments in different levels.
