Guwahati : Just 5-day left for the poll battle in Nagaland and Meghalaya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the both poll bound state on February 22 to escalate election campaigns.
During his day-long visit to the poll bound north eastern Indian states, PM Modi will address two election rallies.
The assembly polls in Nagaland and Meghalaya are being scheduled on February 27.
Nagaland BJP unit president Visasolie Lhoungu said that, PM Modi will address a rally in Tuensang.
The BJP’s Nagaland unit president further said that, apart from PM Modi, BJP president Amit Shah to visit the state on February 23.
On the other hand, PM Modi will visit Meghalaya tomorrow and to address a rally at Phulbari in Garo Hills at around 2 pm.
Modi had earlier visited the state capital Shillong in the month of December last year and inaugurated the Shillong-Nongstoin-Rongjeng-Tura road.
Earlier, BJP president Amit Shah had kick start the election campaigns in Meghalaya.
Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is on two-day visit to the state and addressed three rallies at Mingchengram cultural club playground in North Garo Hills, Gaurobadha in West Garo Hills and Chatbaku football ground in West Jaintia Hills.
Rahul Gandhi also participated in a road show in Shillong today.
