Kathmandu, Nepal, April 24, 2019: An earthquake measuring first 5.2 Richter scale and the second earthquake measuring 4.3 Richter scale shook the Kathmandu valley and neighboring districts on Wednesday morning.
According to the National Seismological Center, first one earthquake occurred at 6:29 AM. Likewise, another aftershock occurred rightly after five minutes difference creating trepidation to the general public.
The epicenters of both the earthquakes were at Naubise area of Dhading district, which is nearer to the Kathmandu. It is said that at least six districts of its surroundings felt the tremble of the earthquake.
Today’s earthquakes have occurred in the mean time when the government is going to celebrate third anniversary of devastating Gorkha earthquake on Thursday pretending it as the national festival.
The 7.8 Rechter scaled devastating earthquake occurred on 25th April, 2015 had killed around 9,000 people in 32 districts. Hundreds of people had also injured in the earthquake.
