Birgunj, Nepal: The cadres of the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) have staged a protest program in different parts of the Terai districts including here in Birgunj on Tuesday.
The UDMF has announced the protest program against the announcement of local election date set by government on Monday. The government had declared the local level elections date for May 14 amid the protest from the UDMF.
The UDMF, which had been demanding for the early endorsement of the constitution amendment bill, has warned to allow holding the polls in Tarai region.
