Pokhara, Nepal: Nepali Congress’s senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel has lost the elections for the House of Representatives from Tanahau-1.

It is the first time that Poudel lost the election from the constituency number 1 of Tanahun district.
It is believed that dissident Nepali Congress’s leader Govinda Raj Joshi would have played role to defeat Poudel.
Earlier, Joishi had filed his candidacy as an independent candidate challenging to the official candidacy of Poudel from the Nepali Congress.
However, Joshi’s candidacy was invalidated citing the reason of corruption cases filed against Joshi.
